PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION

We believe that educating renal professionals is the key to providing high-quality care to patients living with kidney disease.

Year-round, the Kidney Foundation of Ohio’s staff educates renal healthcare professionals regarding services we provide to the community. The Foundation offers CEU programs to ensure renal healthcare professionals are kept up-to-date on the latest trends and innovations in healthcare. These activities provide excellent networking and skill-building opportunities.

If you are interested in learning more about our services, contact Molly DeBrosse, LSW at (216) 771-2700 or mdebrosse@kfohio.org.

Professional Learning Series
November 13, 2018 8:30-10:00am
Kidney Foundation of Ohio
2831 Prospect Avenue, Cleveland

Transplantation is an expensive treatment for kidney disease and it’s important for patients to plan ahead and be well informed of their needs and coverage. Patients must have a comprehensive plan to be prepared for the costs of the transplant workup, transplant inpatient stay, post-transplant follow-up care, and high cost of anti-rejection medications for the life of the transplant.

Lead by two Transplant Financial Coordinators, this session will cover: United Network for Organ Sharing, financial counseling for patients, insurance coverage, patient assistance programs, living donor expenses and more.
