We believe that educating renal professionals is the key to providing high-quality care to patients living with kidney disease.

Year-round, the Kidney Foundation of Ohio’s staff educates renal healthcare professionals regarding services we provide to the community. The Foundation offers CEU programs to ensure renal healthcare professionals are kept up-to-date on the latest trends and innovations in healthcare. These activities provide excellent networking and skill-building opportunities.

If you are interested in learning more about our services, contact Molly DeBrosse, LSW at (216) 771-2700 or

In partnership with University Hospitals Transplant Institute, the Kidney Foundation of Ohio offers educational sessions on topics relevant to dialysis and transplant healthcare professionals. The next session, Resources for the Renal Patient: How to Eat Healthy on a Low Budget is scheduled on April 17 & 23, 2018 in Cleveland and Akron.

This multicultural, healthy foods demonstration is geared towards renal social workers and dieticians and is free and open to the public. Patients often have difficulty affording food and face additional challenges if they reside in areas lacking grocery stores or ‘food deserts’. The interactive sessions will provide resources on how to assist low income patients by offering tips and techniques for accessing healthy, kidney-friendly food. Space is limited.

The sessions are pending approval by the National Association for Social Workers and Commission on Dietetic Registration for one (1) CEU.

For more details on the session call (216) 771-2700 or view the event flyer.
